A hobby that involves dancing and swords -what more could you want? Cake? Yes, we have that too.
We welcome new dancers and musicians, no experience is necessary – we can teach you all you need to know. We have an expert and patient teacher on hand to guide you and the team are a fun and friendly bunch.
We practice most weeks but sometimes we’re out dancing instead so please check before coming along to practice, you can use our contact form or send us a message on Facebook.
We dance to acoustic music – instruments particularly suited to our style of dance are fiddle, whistle, recorder, melodeon and concertina. We welcome new musicians and no experience of playing for sword dance is necessary.
We began our journey at the Famous Green Man pub in Ewell. We have now outgrown the function room there and so we’ve hopped just over the bypass to the fabulous Station pub in Stoneleigh where you’ll find us in the upstairs function room most Tuesday evenings. There’s plenty of parking nearby and the pub is close to rail and bus routes.
